Latest newsHonored for robotics skills

In February 2024, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister of Education and Research, welcomed the German national team for EuroSkills 2023 at her office in Berlin. She paid tribute to the success achieved by the young top professionals in 43 disciplines: 24 medals in total and second place in the overall ranking. Among those honored were the  SCHUNK mechatronics engineers Lukas Röser and Tim Vogel, who took third place in the “Robot Systems Integration” discipline. Vogel comments with a smile: “A title like that also looks good in your CV.” Mechatronics trainer at SCHUNK, Hans Krauss is delighted: “Our talented young people regularly celebrate successes in such competitions. This spurs them on and specifically promotes their skills.”

During the competition, international talents from various countries compare their professional skills in 43 different disciplines of industry, crafts and various service sectors. In summer 2023, 576 young professionals from 32 nations competed against one another in Gdansk, Poland.
