SCHUNK apprentices at a master class

Young SCHUNK talents have three reasons to celebrate at the German WorldSkills Championships. At the end of 2022, our two mechatronics technicians Tim Vogel and Lukas Röser competed at the German WorldSkills Germany Championships in Neuhausen a. d. Fildern against four other two-person teams in the “Robot Systems Integration” discipline – and won the competition.

A few months later, our apprentice Julian Gelo also qualified at the preliminary round for the German WorldSkills Championship in CNC turning. As a globally networked organization, WorldSkills has set itself the goal of making the training landscape more attractive with the concept of “learning in competition” among other initiatives. Apprentices and young professionals from all over the world compete against each other at the World and European Skills Championships.

Tim Vogel and Lukas Röser will put their skills and expertise to the test this year in the next round at the European Championships in Gdansk. Julian Gelo will compete for the German title in the final round at EMO in Hanover.
