In order to remain future-proof, compa­nies have to contin­u­ously break new ground and venture into uncharted terri­to­ries. The most impor­tant element here is having the courage to change.

The history of the German SME sector is one of inno­va­tion and the ability to boldly rein­vent itself time and time again, adapting to the changing circum­stances. Small and medium-sized compa­nies have become inter­na­tional market leaders.

This prin­ciple also applies to the require­ments of the digital “trans­for­ma­tion”. Digi­tal­iza­tion is an ongoing process and – along­side automa­tion – is key for us in mastering the main chal­lenges we are facing in our time – from climate protec­tion to securing compet­i­tive jobs.
