Ster\u00adi\u00adline is an Italian company founded in 1989, which manu\u00adfac\u00adtures machines for the aseptic pack\u00adaging of injectable drugs. In addi\u00adtion to mechan\u00adical solu\u00adtions, Ster\u00adi\u00adline relies primarily on automa\u00adtion. A SCHUNK SWS change system and various pneu\u00admatic grip\u00adpers, such as PGN-plus, DPG-plus, PSH or MPG-plus, are used for fully auto\u00admated prepa\u00adra\u00adtion of drugs.<\/p>\n

These reli\u00adably handle various containers such as syringes, glass vials or IV bags during different process steps. Swiss company Lambda Health has devel\u00adoped a robotic assis\u00adtance system that helps patients with neuro\u00adlog\u00adical diseases retrain the muscu\u00adloskeletal system and strengthen lower limb muscles.<\/p>\n

Patients sit in an armchair and place their feet on pedals equipped with SCHUNK FTN-AXIA80 sensors. The sensors precisely measure how much force the patient is exerting during the workout and passes the data to the soft\u00adware. During this process, the training success is docu\u00admented and neces\u00adsary adjust\u00adments are recom\u00admended.<\/p>\n

Lambda bene\u00adfits in partic\u00adular from the sensors\u2019 small measure\u00adment reso\u00adlu\u00adtion of 0.1 N, the low measure\u00adment uncer\u00adtainty of just 2% and the high over\u00adload protec\u00adtion offered by the FTN-AXIA80. The BW-Tec company from Switzer\u00adland builds machines for the produc\u00adtion of balloon catheters. These catheters are used in various vessels in the human body, such as the arteries around the heart. Blocked or narrowed blood vessels are dilated from the inside, thus restoring blood flow. For almost two decades, BW-Tec has relied on SCHUNK\u2019s PGN-plus universal grip\u00adpers for its produc\u00adtion, due to the grip\u00adpers clean\u00adroom certi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion which is essen\u00adtial for medical devices of this type.<\/p>\n

During the produc\u00adtion of the balloon catheters from a plastic tube, no cont\u00ada\u00adm\u00adi\u00adnants may get into the product \u2014 after all, the finished catheters are later inserted into bodies. The SCHUNK grip\u00adpers also provide BW-Tec with the neces\u00adsary reli\u00ada\u00adbility. During the forming process, the hose must be reli\u00adably fixed so that the lateral tensile forces can be opti\u00admally trans\u00adferred to the product. Due to its clamping force of 250 N and ability to main\u00adtain grip\u00adping force, the PGN-plus can meet these require\u00adments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Femitec is a builder of special machines that has devel\u00adoped a labo\u00adra\u00adtory cell with two robots that is unique to date. It handles plastic tubes containing COVID-19 PCR tests fully auto\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcally. The samples in the tubes are analyzed in the labo\u00adra\u00adtory for the genetic make-up of the SARS-CoV\u20112 virus. For handling, Femitec opted for the clean\u00adroom-certi\u00adfied gripper for small compo\u00adnents SCHUNK EGP 64 with IO-Link.<\/p>\n

Due to its kine\u00admatics, it handles the differ\u00adently sized, malleable tubes absolutely reli\u00adably with constant grip\u00adping force throughout the entire process. In addi\u00adtion, the new Soft\u00adGrip soft\u00adware, which is now inte\u00adgrated as a stan\u00addard func\u00adtion, ensures gentle handling of the deli\u00adcate tubes.<\/p>\n

A total of five EGP 64 IOLs are used in the robotic cell \u2014 three handle the tubes, two grip\u00adpers hold the screw cap, while a rotary unit unscrews and closes the tube for sampling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
