The CoLab concept is booming: More and more customers around the world appre\u00adciate the oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity to try out their own automa\u00adtion appli\u00adca\u00adtions on site in a SCHUNK robot appli\u00adca\u00adtion center with the latest tech\u00adnology and to exchange with the experts. This is helping them to find the optimal solu\u00adtion for their own produc\u00adtion \u2013 thereby mini\u00admizing their invest\u00adment risk. This year alone, four new CoLabs are opening around the world, starting with the Dutch subsidiary in February.<\/p>\n

In \u2018s\u2011Hertogenbosch, robots from the renowned manu\u00adfac\u00adturers FANUC, TechMan and Universal Robots as well as all SCHUNK compo\u00adnents are avail\u00adable on a 75 square meter facility. General Manager Guido Segers said on the occa\u00adsion of the opening: \u201cOur CoLab is a kind of knowl\u00adedge center for the entire manu\u00adfac\u00adturing industry. We are sharing this knowl\u00adedge here.\u201d In June a CoLab opened in Nitra, Slovakia, and in July the CoLab in the Shina\u00adgawa ward of Tokyo, Japan opened. Brazil will round off the year by opening a CoLab in Mau\u00e1 in September.<\/p>\n

Hence\u00adforth, the SCHUNK CoLab will be avail\u00adable to industry profes\u00adsionals as well as high school and univer\u00adsity students wanting to learn about automa\u00adtion and robotics and imple\u00adment these in real life.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Anniver\u00adsaries in the USA and Italy<\/h2>\n

In February, the US subsidiary SCHUNK Intec Inc. in Morrisville, North Carolina cele\u00adbrated its 30th anniver\u00adsary. Henrik A. Schunk, who managed the site for several years: \u201cOver the past 30 years, SCHUNK has become a true house\u00adhold name in the Amer\u00adican market.\u201d Solu\u00adtions from SCHUNK can be found in numerous high-tech compa\u00adnies in the US such as Space\u2011X. There was also a festive mood in Lurate Caccivio near Como in Italy. In May, the Intec cele\u00adbrated its 25th anniver\u00adsary. Here, too, all the signs point to the future. Strate\u00adgi\u00adcally, the Italy Intec is focusing on promising indus\u00adtries such as e\u2011mobility or life science.<\/p>\n

Expan\u00adsion in Mexico<\/h2>\n

This is also the case in Mexico. A ground\u00adbreaking cere\u00admony marked the start of construc\u00adtion for the new Intec building in the Parque Tecnol\u00f3gico Inno\u00advaci\u00f3n in Quer\u00e9\u00adtaro. In addi\u00adtion to office space, a ware\u00adhouse and another CoLab will be built on an area span\u00adning almost 10,000 square meters over the coming months.<\/p>\n
