The company\u2018s offi\u00adcial name is now SCHUNK SE & Co.KG. The SE stands for \u201cSoci\u00adetas Europaea\u201d, a legal form created in 2004 by the EU that makes it easier for compa\u00adnies to operate throughout Europe.<\/p>\n
Kristina I. Schunk, Chair\u00adwoman of the Manage\u00adment Board, says: \u201cThe SE was a logical step for us because it is a glob\u00adally recog\u00adnized legal form. We now have 34 foreign subsidiaries.\u201d In this respect, it was time to adapt the legal form accord\u00adingly.<\/p>\n
